Danny is a Pharmacology PhD candidate at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. His research utilizes neuropharmacological approaches, along with transcriptional, electrophysiological, and behavioral tools, to investigate the mechanisms through which chronic stress accelerates brain aging’s negative impact on cognition.

In future work, he plans to test interventions, such as psilocybin, ketamine, MDMA, LSD, and ibogaine, to further define their molecular mechanisms of action, and their potential to make the brain more resilient to chronic stress and aging. In addition, he is also keen to explore consulting opportunities, where he can bring value through his research experience to collaborations in the burgeoning field of psychedelic therapy.
